Daughters and Widows of Hope Ministries (DWHM) was founded in 2020 by Jean Peace Nakiyingi who agreed to work together with other people to rescue the Socially Vulnerable Girl-Children and Widows since they all had the same aims and objectives.
The members decided to form a united stand in order to rescue the hurting situation of the vulnerable girl- children and widows without a comforter by helping them find ways that would meet their basic needs.
Before the formation of this organization, the Idea Originator had helped many vulnerable girl-children in different schools concentrating on academics only. In 2022, was registered with Buyende District Non-Governmental Organizations Monitoring Commitee as a Community Based Organization (CBO) under Registration Number BUY/1065. DWHM CBO operates in the whole district of Buyende with its base in Kagulu Sub-county.
