A Move of God in Buyende: Highlights from the 2025 Gospel Festival

What was once a vision shared on a poster has become a powerful testimony of faith and community transformation. From October 19th to 21st, Daughters & Widows of Hope Ministries, in partnership with the Buyende Pastors Fellowship, hosted the Buyende Gospel Festival 2025 at Kitukilo Play Ground.

Under the theme “Mindset Change” (Philippians 2:5), the festival brought together thousands for three days of spiritual renewal, high-energy worship, and practical community support.

Powerful Ministry and Worship

The festival lived up to its promise of being a “move of God.” Attendees were treated to powerful ministrations from renowned leaders and artists, including:

  • Pr. Wilson Bugembe and Pr. Justine Nabbosa, who led the crowd in soul-stirring worship.
  • Guest preachers like Bishop Ramathan, Bishop Noah Kamanzi, and our hosts Ev. Ronald & Jean Peace Murugayo, who delivered life-changing messages on transforming our minds through Christ.

More Than Just a Concert: Impacting Lives

True to the mission of Daughters & Widows of Hope, the festival went beyond the stage to meet the physical needs of the people in Buyende. The event featured:

  • Medical Outreach: A free medical camp providing essential healthcare services to those in need.
  • Community Competitions: A thrilling “Obugali” (bicycle) competition that engaged the local youth and brought a spirit of healthy fun to the grounds.
  • A Joyful Celebration for Children: The Kid’s Party was a highlight, featuring face painting and games, ensuring the youngest members of our community felt the love of Christ.
  • Hands-on Giving: In alignment with our skilling and empowerment goals, donations were distributed to vulnerable families, proving that compassion is best shown through action.

A United Front in Prayer

Throughout the festival, the power of prayer was evident. Images from the event show our team and ministers locked in hand-to-hand prayer, interceding for the district of Buyende and the success of the new skilling initiatives.

The massive turnout at Kitukilo Play Ground is a testament to a community hungry for change. We are standing on the promise that the seeds of “Mindset Change” planted this weekend will grow into a harvest of transformation for widows, orphans, and adolescent girls throughout the region.

Thank you to our sponsors, including G24 Radio, and every individual who donated to make this “move of God” a reality!
